Spain was the 4th country to decide their entry late last night, or more like early morning... Like Portugal they had a show lasting over 3 hours, where they had packed a semi final (their 3rd), a second chance round (which mysteriously got cancelled!!) and the final. Spain is another one of those countries that haven't done too well the past years. Maybe it is the Big 4 curse, as they are directly qualified to the final each year and won't need to face a semi final. Their last top 10 result was back in 2004.... And last night the Spanish public selected...
Song: La Noche Es Para Mi

This is one of the best songs I have heard from Spain in recent years. I can't remember when the last Spanish entry was as good as this. This is a modern, up-tempo dance song. The sound is very current and sung in Spanglish (mostly sung in Spanish but also parts sung in English). The singer looks very similar to P!nk in my opinion, without the raw edge. I think this will do very well, a top 10 placing for sure, a song that will appeal to most countries. However, not a winner, just lacks that "little extra".
